European Rugby Player of the Year announces commitment to play in Major League Rugby for San Diego Legion


SAN DIEGO, July , PRNewswire — San Diego Legion, a Major League Rugby franchise, announced its first new player signing for the season in superstar England representative and former European Player of the Year, Steffon Armitage. 

Armitage has had an illustrious career to date including international honors for England  –  and + professional games in England and France, winning  European Cup Championships titles.

Armitage will be joining the team at the commencement of pre-season training this December. As the first player announcement of the season, the Legion to announce the remainder of its squad over the next few weeks. 

Laurent Koscielny is considering a number of offers from LIgue clubs as he is unsure of his place in Arsenal s long-term plans.

The France international centre-back s contract with the Gunners expires next summer, and The Mirror believe he wants long-term security that Arsenal are unwilling to guarantee.

That security may come from Bordeaux, who have made an offer to the -year-old, believed to be a two-year contract with an option for a third.
